cape ann trail stewards relies on thousands of volunteer hours to help us accomplish our goals! |
Many of Cape Ann's trails are located municipal or other conservation land. We connect our trail stewards with trails and trail networks that may have limited stewardship due to limited resources in order to keep them in good working order.
Trail Stewards serve as the eyes and ears of our organization, alerting CATS to issues such as dumping, inappropriate trail use, invasive species and trail damage helps us keep track of what is happening at our Steward Sites. We suggest our Trail Stewards visit their trail/trail network quarterly. You can learn more about being a Trail Steward at our Trail Steward portal.
Another great way to get to help support our mission is to sign up to be a walk leader! If you have a favorite trail on Cape Ann that you know like the back of your hand and may even have an inside scoop on the history and would be interested and sharing it with a small hiking group, please reach out!
