SATURDAY Morning Hike- Haskins Park to Briar Swamp and Whale's Jaw

Join us for a hike in the Rockport and Gloucester Woods, visiting Whale's Jaw and Briar Swamp.

Our route takes us from Haskins Park at the top of Summit Ave, Rockport, around Briar Swamp, joining the Luce Trail as it makes its way past the WPA dike and Whale's Jaw to Squam Path and Anne's Path.

This is a hike on mixed terrain, with both easy sections and more difficult rocky hillside and swamp-side sections. There may be a few wet spots.  Total distance is just under 3 miles; allow about 1.5 to 2 hours to complete.

Meeting Spot:   

We will meet at the parking area at Haskins Park at the top of Summit Ave in Rockport.  See the location HERE in Google Maps.

Please arrive early (we recommend planning to arrive between 9:50 and 9:55 am in order to be ready for the group's 10 am departure).  The hike will depart promptly at 10 am.
