Ocean Views Walk from Ravenswood to Rafe's Chasm

Join us for a hike across Magnolia Woods to the beautiful views off of the cliffs of Rafe's Chasm!

Due to the popularity and  long waitlist we had for our annual Trails & Sails Event this year, we are doing a repeat of this same hike on Saturday, October 14, at 2PM to give others a chance to participate!

This hike takes us along a trail that links the southern edge of the Trustees of Reservations Ravenswood Park with the City of Gloucester's Rafe's Chasm Park, traversing through a 300-acre area of City-owned woodland known as Magnolia Woods. The walk will include spectacular views of the ocean from the dramatic Rafe's Chasm cliffs. The hike is just under 3 miles round-trip on a moderate trail with  some rocks, roots, and uneven surfaces.

Space is limited; reservations are required.

Meeting Spot:  We will meet in the lower grass parking area of the Magnolia Woods Recreational Facility located at 474 Western Ave. (Rte. 127) in Gloucester.  This is approximately 0.3 miles southwest of,, and across the street from, the main entrance to Ravenswood Park.  The parking area is on your left about 100 yards after turning into the Recreational Facility driveway from Western Ave./ Rte.127.

The hike will begin promptly at 2PM.  Please arrive 10 minutes early for check-in.

Please note that dogs are not permitted on this hike.
