This is an abridged repeat of the 10/23/22 Sunday Morning Hike route:
This is a 2.5-mile hike over mixed terrain: the Inner Loop (Green Trail) through Beverly Commons Conservation Area. Varied terrain over rocks, roots, whalebacks, scree, autumn leaves, and a number of ups and downs.
A link to the map can be found here.
Registration is limited to 10 people, and opens one week prior to the hike.
A limited number of dogs are allowed to participate in this hike (this is in contrast to the regular Sunday Morning Hikes, where dogs are not allowed). One dog per hiker, and dogs must be leashed. (Remember to bring poop bags for your dog too!) Total number of dogs in the group will be limited to 5.
If interested in bringing a dog, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to find out if there are still "dog spaces" available!
Meeting Spot: We will meet at the Greenwood Avenue entrance to Beverly Commons Conservation Area, at the end of Greenwood Ave, off of Hart St in Beverly. Set your GPS for Chapman's Florist (58 Hart St, Beverly); they're at the corner of Hart St and Greenwood Ave. Take Route 128 to Exit 48, Grapevine Rd, heading towards Beverly; Grapevine Rd becomes Hart St in Beverly. Follow Greenwood Ave to its end, at the vehicle gate at the entrance to Beverly Commons Conservation Area. Park on Stone Ridge Rd, a residential circle just off Greenwood Ave in front of the conservation area's vehicle gate.
Please arrive early. The hike will depart promptly at 1 PM.
