**REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT OPENS OCTOBER 10TH**

Join us as we venture off Cape Ann for a hike in the 1000-acre Beverly Commons woodlands in Beverly Farms.   This will be a moderate hike, 3-4 miles, with varied terrain over rocks, roots, whalebacks, scree, autumn leaves, and a lot of ups and downs (plus possibly some muddy sections) – a good workout in a beautiful location!

Here is a link to a printable trail map which also gives the history of the area.   And here is our route in GaiaGPS, if you would like to upload it and follow along on your device.   We will start along the Blue Perimeter Trail from junction 2, then connect to the Green Inner Loop Trail at junction 7 and then rejoin the Blue Trail via junction 42 – altogether a beautiful and interesting loop within a loop.  The trails are well marked with numbers at all intersections, which you can see on both maps.  (For those who like to have all the details, we will be proceeding from junction 2 to 11, 13, 14 to connector 15, 16, 17, 18, 6, 7, 24, 23, 35, 34, 43, 42 connector to 63, 62, 61, 3.)

Meeting spot:   At the Kiosk behind the entrance gate on Greenwood Ave.   Please arrive early.  The hike will depart promptly at 10 AM.

As always, please wear good hiking footwear, and bring water, snacks, and insect repellent/ sunscreen as needed.  Also bring poles if you use them (highly recommended).

Please note that dogs are not permitted on the Sunday Morning Hikes.

In the event of rain, the hike may be rescheduled, and an email notification will go out at 8 AM prior to the hike.  The rain date will be the following non-holiday Sunday.

Registration is limited to 20.  Please register early and if you cannot make it, let us know so we can add those on the wait list.

Directions & Parking:  For GPS put in 58 Hart Street (Chapmans GreenHouse, Beverly) and Greenwood Ave.  Turn onto Greenwood Ave. and either park at the lot at 204 Greenwood Ave. (Glen Urquhart School) and walk up to the Kiosk, or continue to the end of Greenwood and take a right at the gate onto Stone Ridge Rd.  Cars can park on the right side of the Stone Ridge Rd. after entering the circle (it is obvious).  Cars parked on Greenwood will be ticketed, per the no parking signs.

From Route 128 take the Grapevine Road exit (turns into Hart St)  and head toward Beverly Farms (left).  From Route 127 take Haskell St. to Hart St.  At Hart turn left and then turn left at Chapmans GreenHouse.
